We are present in 12 Brazilian states and over 100 municipalities. Our corporate governance and the conduct of activities are guided by a set of policies and standards that guide the decisions of our leaders and employees. These instruments are continuously updated and reinforced by the Compliance Program, in operation since the beginning of operations.

We also act continuously so that the interaction with the company's service channels is increasingly agile, uncomplicated and inclusive. The digital tools contribute so that various services can be requested without the need for on-site assistance.

Protecting the lives of employees, service providers and customers is the central pillar of our business model. In 2019, we began implementing the Safe Work Management System (SGTS), which aims to eliminate or control accident risks and increase awareness of safe practices in all operational and administrative units.

To ensure the population's access to quality water in the municipalities we serve, our company adopts a series of measures and develops initiatives related to the promotion and maintenance of water security. The safety of water dams is one of the main items that we monitor in our operation. All of them are monitored remotely by a digital and online system, in which we continuously monitor different indicators.

In all our units, we have tools and processes that guarantee our commitment to the quality of the water supplied to customers and the treatment of the effluents collected. We invest in projects, technology and innovations to reduce losses in water distribution, one of the greatest challenges for the sector in Brazil.

Research and the incorporation of new technologies in treatment plants have the potential to reduce the need for physical space for these structures, the use of chemicals and electrical energy and to automate the processes, reducing the risks in the operation.

Our company has been supporting WILBrasil – Water Innovation Labs for three years. In 2019, with a different approach from previous years, nine innovation projects were created and three of them will be supported with the provision of seed resources to begin prototyping in 2020:

Our team consists of approximately 5,500 employees. Our leaders play a fundamental role in ensuring that the corporate culture transcends geographical boundaries and the purpose of transformation permeates all units, reinforcing values, ethics and integrity in all relationships.

Strategically, we adopt practices to increase the diversity among our team. In 2019, the DiversifiK Program committee acted to assess trends and external benchmarks, contributing to the formulation of guidelines and the implementation of initiatives that encourage diversity and inclusion.

Through BRK Transforma, we apply a private social investment methodology that encompasses both the company's corporate initiatives, developed at the national level, and the projects conducted directly by the units with a focus on local development and community protagonism. In 2019, investments made in sustainable development projects aimed at communities totaled R$ 7.3 million – summing up own resources, financed and derived from tax incentive laws.

One of this projects is Nave BRK, wich is a bus totally adapted to offer an innovative experience for the dissemination of the importance of sanitation and the practice of sustainable attitudes in everyday life.

Supported by the purpose of transforming people's lives, our business model is achieved through the investments we make in the units to expand the supply and collection networks, effluent treatment structures and actions for the universalization of basic sanitation in Brazil.

In 2019, we achieved an increase of 36% in investments and a growth of 5% in the number of units served (active savings).
